Global Day of Coderetreat
When Is It?
See you at the next Global Day of Coderetreat
Saturday, November 17, 2018
in Zurich, as always, at the friendliest and coolest IT shop in town
in the building of Bahnhof Enge, via the entrance from Bederstrasse.
In 2018 we'll also bring GDCR to Luzern, at
(to be annunced)
that is especially worth considering given that Zurich's always full.
What Is It?
To put it short, it's a day of fun (aka pair programming) for coders. For details, see the site of the Global Day of Coderetreat. Quoting from there:
Coderetreat is a day-long, intensive practice event, focusing on the fundamentals of software development and design. By providing developers the opportunity to take part in focused practice away from the pressures of 'getting things done', the coderetreat format has proven itself to be a highly effective means of skill improvement.
The coderetreat day consists of 5-6 sessions, each session's learnings building upon previous sessions. The morning focuses on becoming comfortable with the problem domain, breaking old habits and beginning focused self-discovery. The afternoon pushes the envelope by challenging pairs to stretch their skills and understanding of abstractions, modular design and test-driven development.
Sounds like fun? It is!
Hell Yeah, Mailing List!
We'll open for registrations about a month before the event and are always fully booked, so get on the mailing list!
